Some questions and answers about Advertising on this Site

Q. How much does it cost to advertise on your website?

A. Nothing! Network Rail own the copyright to much of the information contained on this site and, although they have kindly consented to its use, this is on the condition that the project is non-commercial in nature. I am more than happy to comply.

Q. Why take adverts if you make no money out of them? A. Why not? I think that it helps the look of the site to have limited and relevant advertising. Naturally, I reserve the right to refuse any advertisement, or to remove an existing advert at any time, without liability on my part.

Q. Who can advertise here? A. Any transport related group, society, campaign, company or organisation, and local history groups.

Q. Why advertise here?

A. 1) Relevance. Almost every town, city and major village in the UK is mentioned on this website. You can advertise on a particular page, ensuring that the people seeing your advert are interested in your target area. For instance, a preserved railway can advertise an event on the page that covers their railway when in B.R. ownership. 2) From June to September, 2008, the website attracted 5,500 visitors.

Q. What do I do now? A. Contact me for more information.
